Classic mom-com

I’ll tell you what a real guilt trip is. Taking your mum to see this film as a late Mothers’ Day treat and declaring on the way out “I wish Barbara Streisand was my mum”. That was one frosty Marks & Spencer’s café lunch. Sorry mum, didn’t mean it.

But seriously, Barbara Streisand rocks. She nails a massive steak dinner in one of those USA style ‘if you can eat it all, it’s free’ kind of places and has continuously perfect hair and makeup.

It’s sweet and heartwarming, as you would expect but Streisand aside, everything else about this film is meh, especially Seth Rogan.

My mum liked it and she hadn’t been to the cinema since Shirley Valentine.
